Sounds exciting, right? But before we get into all of that, we first wanted to ask: what exactly is BetaSeries and what does it do?
Simply put, BetaSeries is an essential recommendation service to find all your new favourite series. We probably don’t need to tell you how much content is out there, on how many platforms: Netflix, Prime Video, Apple TV+, Disney+, HBO Max… the list goes on and on. Every day, there are more and more videos for people to watch. This is where BetaSeries comes in. It is a huge community where the data from 5 million users per month helps you find the perfect TV show. Each month, you receive a personal recommendation of new shows. BetaSeries also acts as a calendar, either from your computer or as an app, where you can manage your schedule and share the latest episodes you watched.
From all of this comes data: everything people have watched or stopped watching. More than 150,000 people every day saying what they have watched the night before. More than 2.2 million subscribers in the system. It’s a massive amount of data. And this is what has gone into creating the Market Analysis service with Filmarket Hub.
So, how does our Market Analysis service work?
To start with, your script is associated with ten other series that are similar to your story. It is compared within a database of 25,000 titles, using criteria such as detailed genres, themes, and character types. BetaSeries then summarises your series marketing footprint; providing information such as user segments (sex, age, SPC), the typical performance of your episodes (reach and retention), and targeted commissioners. Not only does this information allow you to select your commissioning partners more accurately; it also enables you to pitch your ideas with the backing of solid marketing indicators.
