LatinX Talent at Filmarket Hub
Television entertainment focused on the Hispanic community has never been better, and the increasing number of series and movies offered by leading online platforms reflects this. More and more content for the Hispanic community is being created and produced by Hispanics. At Filmarket Hub, we are committed to initiatives that allow us to discover emerging LatinX talent, connecting them with leading companies in the industry. That’s why we have launched our first U.S. Hispanic Showcase; a virtual pitching event focused on feature films and series in development for the U.S. Hispanic market. Participating companies include BTF Media, Exile Content Studio, El Estudio, The Media Pro, and Gaumont. These are established companies that are looking for feature films and series in development for the U.S. Hispanic market.
Here are some of our favourite productions from these companies:
Las crónicas del taco
Documentary miniseries tribute to the famous Mexican dish. This production delves into the stories behind the tastiest tacos in the country, from street food to those served in the best restaurants. Produced by El Estudio.
Everything Will Be Fine
Soap opera that questions the idea of perfect love, set against the backdrop of social change. Flavio and Lucia have separated but they can’t get over it. This is a story about heartbreak that reflects on social relationships in all their aspects. Produced by Exile Content Studio.
Narco: México
The story of the rise of the world’s most dangerous drug cartel. Over three seasons this series narrates the rise of the Guadalajara cartel and the beginning of the violent drug wars in the 1980s. Produced by Gaumont.
